Reed Smith announced that Eugenie Rogers has joined the firm’s Global Commercial Disputes Group and international arbitration team as a partner in its Dallas office.

Rogers brings substantial experience in complex cross-border disputes, including international commercial arbitration and business litigation, with a focus on high-value cases throughout Europe and the Middle East. Her practice spans the construction, engineering, transportation, and energy sectors, among others. Many of the disputes she handles involve large-scale construction megaprojects, particularly in the energy sector. Among her largest clients are several of the world’s leading engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractors. At her prior firm, Baker McKenzie, Rogers was co-leader of energy arbitration initiatives globally and of its energy, mining and infrastructure industry group in North America. The energy and natural resources industry is one of Reed Smith’s five core areas of focus.

“Eugenie’s international arbitration, construction and energy work is well known locally and globally, and her arrival at the firm will help strengthen our relationship with key clients, including those leading domestic and international engineering and construction projects,” said Casey Laffey, head of the firm’s U.S. Commercial Disputes Group. “Her addition also further strengthens our offering in international arbitration, which has been ranked by the Global Arbitration Review as a top 30 practice for six years.”

Rogers has extensive experience representing clients in international and domestic arbitrations under the rules of several major arbitral institutions, including the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), International Centre for Dispute Resolution (ICDR), American Arbitration Association (AAA), Stockholm Chamber of Commerce (SCC), and others. Her experience also includes handling investment treaty issues, enforcement of arbitral awards and foreign judgments, public international law matters, and high-stakes litigation in U.S. federal and state courts. She is admitted to practice law in Texas, New York and Florida, and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
