A Beaumont couple is suing a Walker County duo, alleging vehicular negligence in a motor vehicle accident.
Marilyn Guidry and Brandon Guidry filed a lawsuit June 16 in Jefferson County District Court against Tana Lyn Goodrich and Samuel Thomas Goodrich of Huntsville, alleging liability for personal injuries suffered in a 2014 collision.
According to the suit, on June 12, 2014, the plaintiffs’ vehicle was struck by the defendants’ auto as they were traveling eastbound on Calder Avenue in Beaumont. The suit says Tana Lyn Goodrich drove on the wrong side of the road and hit them suddenly and without warning.
The complaint states Goodrich failed to pay attention, maintain a proper lookout, brake in a timely manner, stop or render aid. Thomas Goodrich is faulted for negligent entrustment of the vehicle.
The plaintiffs allege property damage, mental anguish, physical impairment and disfigurement and medical costs.
The Guidrys seek compensation to be determined by the court for damages, pre-judgment interest, attorney fees, expenses and costs. They are represented by attorneys James Payne, Jennifer Job and Ronnie Turner Jr. of Provost Umphrey Law Firm in Beaumont.
