A Galveston County couple has sued a driver for alleged negligence in a highway accident.
Elias Reyna Jr. and Celeste Solis filed a lawsuit Jan. 7 in Galveston County District Court against Andrew Bryan Ciolli of Dickinson, citing negligence.
According to the complaint, Reyna and Solis were traveling northbound on Interstate 45 on Nov. 8, 2014, when they sighted the defendant’s vehicle stopped in traffic ahead and collided with it. The complaint alleges recklessness, carelessness and disregard for the plaintiffs’ safety.
Ciolli should have warned traffic of his stopped vehicle and he interfered with and created danger to the traffic flow, the suit states. The couple complain of hand, neck and back injuries, the suit says.
The plaintiffs seek: damages for medical care and expenses; physical impairment, pain, suffering, and mental anguish; compensation for attorney fees; expenses and costs. They are represented by attorney Carlos Garza of Martin, Garza & Fisher in Galveston.
