Beaumont locals Nathan and Tracy Delameter are seeking the depositions of any Beaumont Independent School District employees with knowledge of their 3-year-old son’s death.
Their petition was filed March 6 in Jefferson County District Court.
According to the petition, on Dec. 8, 2014, the child was placed on a BISD bus for transport to school. Approximately one hour later, the boy was dead.
The petition gives no other details surrounding the incident, nor did a search online reveal anything.
The Delameters seek to depose the BISD bus driver, any employees on the bus at the time of the incident, any BISD employees who investigated the incident and any BISD employees who had contact with the bus driver and the petitioners on the day of the incident.
Attorney Chip Ferguson of the Provost Umphrey Law Firm in Beaumont is representing the couple.
Judge Milton Shuffield, 136th District Court, is assigned to the case.
