Woman hits head at Walmart, sues store

A woman has sued Walmart for alleged injuries.

Gloria Trahan filed a lawsuit Feb. 25 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Wal-Mart Inc., alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, on March 17, 2014, Trahan was shopping at the Walmart store at 23561 U.S. Highway 59 in Porter, when she hit her head on a low hanging piece of metal or concrete.

The suit states Wal-Mart Inc. failed to provide a safe exit from the store by obstructing the doorway with the metal or concrete.

Trahan seeks: $200,000 for medical costs; $350,000 for pain, suffering and physical impairment; plus attorney fees; and costs. She is represented by attorney Scot Dollinger of Dollinger Law in Houston.
