Consulting firm alleges fraud, sues former employee

Contract signing

A Houston consulting company has sued a League City company and its owner, alleging fraud and breach of contract.

Draco Global Solutions Inc. filed a lawsuit March 3 in Galveston County District Court against Waggoner Companies Inc. and Jerry Waggoner, citing breach of contract.

According to the suit, Jerry Waggoner was employed by Draco to assist in a technical services agreement (TSA) with a client in the Philippines, and that Waggoner conspired with the client to eliminate Draco and work directly with each other.

Waggoner filed papers with the state Texas on Dec. 29, 2014, to form the Waggoner Companies and resigned from Draco Global the same day, the suit says, and then returned to the Philippines. The client terminated its TSA with Draco on Jan. 27 and hired Waggoner directly, according to the suit.

Draco alleges financial damage and interference with an existing contract, breach of duty and fraud.

The plaintiff seeks actual and exemplary damages, disgorgement of profits and court costs. Draco is represented by attorneys David Bland and Jack Byrom of Bland & Partners in Houston.
