A Dickinson woman has sued Kroger for alleged negligence in an accident.

Rosita Carreon filed a lawsuit Feb. 24 in Galveston County District Court against Kroger Texas, citing negligence.

According to the complaint, on Sept. 21, 2013, Carreon was shopping in the K034 Kroger East/Southwest, at 3410 Gulf Freeway, when she slipped and fell because of liquid on the floor. The defendant failed to make its premises safe, train and supervise its employees and/or contractors in proper maintenance, or warn the plaintiff of danger, the suit states, and the retailer was aware of the hazard and neglected to address it.

The plaintiff says she experienced: severe personal injuries; pain and suffering; impairment; anguish; loss of enjoyment of life and earning capacity; and probable disability.

Carreon seeks up to $100,000 in compensation for past and future medical expenses, attorney fees, expenses and costs. She is represented by attorney Julie Wokf of Modjarrad Abusadd Said Law Firm in Richardson.
