A Texas family is suing over claims a storage facility sold its belongings.

Peggy and Josh LeBlanc filed a lawsuit Nov. 3, 2014, in Jefferson County District Court against Creel Investments Inc.

According to the complaint, on Feb. 20, 2013, the LeBlancs paid to store their belongings in Unit 35 of the defendant's premises at 5955 Ohio St. in Beaumont, but Creel later admitted to taking possession of and selling their belongings. The LeBlancs say they lost property worth tens of thousands of dollars, and the defendant is accused of gross negligence, conversion, unjust enrichment, fraud, bailment and slander.

The LeBlancs seek damages and court costs. They are represented by attorney Gilbert T. Adams III, of Gilbert Adams Law Office in Beaumont.
