An elderly Galveston County woman has sued a rental car company, citing injuries she suffered in a crash.
Doris Templeton filed a lawsuit April 28 in Galveston County District Court, against Enterprise Rent-a-Car Co. and Enterprise Holdings Inc.
According to the complaint, on April 26, 2013, Templeton, 76, was in a vehicle owned by the defendants on Pine Drive in Dickinson when "defendants' employee was pulling out of the parking lot at the Enterprise location on Pine Drive and pulled into oncoming traffic across two lanes and hit another car. Prior to the police arriving to take a report, Templeton, being an elderly woman with a prior leg injury, decided to move inside to where it was cooler. Subsequently, the police officer did not include the plaintiff in her report, nor was Templeton asked if she needed to go to the hospital."
The plaintiff cites personal injury to her shoulder, chest, leg and throat, past and future mental anguish, past and future pain and suffering, and gross negligence.
Templeton seeks between $100,000 and $200,000, plus costs. She is represented by attorney Ronald M. Hall of Houston.
