A marine services company has sued a helicopter business for services provided after a fatal crash in 2014.
Epic Diving and Marine Services of Montgomery County filed a lawsuit April 18 in Galveston County District Court against Westwind Helicopters Inc., of Santa Fe, Texas, citing breach of contract.
According to the complaint, the suit "arises out of salvage services provided by Epic to Westwind, which occurred after the fatal crash of a helicopter operated by Westwind in June 2014. Although Epic provided the contracted salvage services, Westwind improperly refused to pay Epic."
Epic Diving and Marine Services seeks $177,668.75, pre- and post-judgment interest, plus costs. It is represented by attorneys Glenn R. Legge and Michael J. Wray of Legge, Farrow, Kimmitt, McGrath and Brown in Houston.
