Business enterprise seeks compliance in alleged non-payment dispute

A Jefferson County business brought an action against a second Jefferson County company, its agent, and an Orange County resident in a 2014 dispute.

Wells Supply LLC filed a complaint against Performance Pressure Pumping Services LLC of Beaumont; Antoine Broussard Jr. of Beaumont; and William Rigby Sr. of Bridge City, in Jefferson County District Court April 28, claiming specific liabilities dating to a contract created in June 2014.

According to the suit, the parties entered into an agreement on June 26, 2014 whereby the plaintiff, represented by Joshua Wells, purchased all business interests of members Broussard and Rigby—along with Lance DeJohn—essentially acquiring the defendants’ enterprise.

Wells alleges mutual operating debts; as itemized in the court documents, the figures indicate that Performance owes Wells a net balance. Maintaining that Performance has committed breach of contract, resulting in damages to the plaintiff, Joshua Wells argues that the defendants refused to pay his company its outstanding debt.

The plaintiff seeks: compensation between $200,000 and $1 million in actual, incidental, special and consequential damages; pre- and post-judgment interest; attorney’s fees; expenses, and costs.

The firm is represented by attorney Gary Reger and MarJuana Williams of Orgain, Bell & Tucker of Beaumont.
