While out with friends, Mary Schuldt's teenage daughter was physically injured. Now Schuldt is suing the other girls' mothers for allowing the teens to be out past curfew.
Schuldt filed a personal injury suit against Candy Jenkins and Lisa McCune on behalf of her daughter with the Jefferson County District Court on July 6. Judge Donald Floyd, 172nd Judicial District, will preside over the case.
The suit does not give details as to how Schuldt's daughter was injured, but says only that on April 28, 2007, the defendants' children were guests at Schuldt's home.
"The (defendants') childrens' negligent acts caused injuries to (plaintiff's daughter). Specifically, (she) sustained injuries to her face and body and continues to suffer from mental anguish," the plaintiff's original petition states.
The suit goes on to say that the defendants are guilty of negligent supervision, allowing their children to violate curfew and consume alcoholic beverages.
Schuldt is suing for her daughter's injuries and mental anguish, plus all court costs.
She is represented by attorney Anthony Malley III of the Moore and Landrey law firm.
