Chamber to hold roaring fundraiser

The Beaumont Chamber Foundation will host its annual fundraiser with a night back to the Roaring '20s. Spice of the Season "Spicy Night at the Ritz" will be held at 6:30 p.m July 26 at the Beaumont Country Club.

Spice of the Season is an annual event to help fund Leadership Beaumont. The Golden Triangle Chapter of Texas Chefs Association and area chefs will be on hand preparing the evening dinner while celebrity waiters try to score big tips.

Headwaiters Brenda Van Dyke and Shawn Manley will head this year's team of celebrity waiters as they compete to earn the most "Spicy Loot," tips for the evening.

"We are very pleased with the turn-out the community has given this event in the past few years. You never know what a celebrity waiter will do for a tip until you see them in action. The efforts of past graduates and the residents of Beaumont attending have made Leadership Beaumont available each year to such a group of fine individuals,"
said Shirley Bartos, executive director Leadership Beaumont.

Individual dinners are available for $75.

Sponsorships are also available, which include dinner tickets and company name posted at the event.

Some of the sponsors already committed are American Valve and Hydrant, Bill Clark Pest Control, Broussard's Mortuaiy, CHRISTUS St Elizabeth Hospital, Clark Development, Classic Forms and Products, Edgar, Kiker & Cross, Entergy - Texas, ENGlobal Engineering, Munro's, Mr. & Mrs. Pat Calhoun, Regina Rogers, Sempra, Stat Care, Talon insurance, Texas Coffee Company and Texas State Bank.
