Injured passenger sues KDR over wreck

Roy Johnson was a passenger in a company vehicle when he was rear-ended by a truck owned by KDR Supply, Inc. Johnson claims he was injured and is suing KDR.

Johnson's personal injury lawsuit was filed with the Jefferson County District Court on Oct. 12.

According to the plaintiff's original petition, on July 9, 2007, Johnson was a passenger in a company truck, which was turning right off of College Street at the Interstate 10 intersection when the KDR Supply truck "crashed with great force and violence into the rear" of Johnson's vehicle.

The suit does not say what kind of injuries Johnson suffered.

He is suing for pre-judgment interest and all court costs.

According to the company's Web site, KDR Supply, Inc. has been servicing the oil and gas industry in Texas since 1981, providing dependable and reliable service to its customers.

The plaintiff is represented by attorney Sid Stover of the Seale, Stover & Bisbey law firm.

Judge Bob Wortham, 58th Judicial District, will preside over the case.
