Fidel Perez, a sandblaster who already received a settlement for a non-cancerous disease is filing suit again, this time for a malignancy blamed on asbestos exposure.
In the suit, Perez alleges that the A.O. Smith Corp. and 49 other companies knowingly and maliciously manufactured and distributed asbestos-containing products throughout Jefferson County.
The plaintiff is suing for exemplary damages, plus physical pain and suffering in the past and future, mental anguish in the past and future, lost wages, loss of earning capacity, disfigurement in the past and future, physical impairment in the past and future, and past and future medical expenses.

Failing to pay attention to his surroundings, Dariel Jones stepped into a gas filled hole and suffered second and third degree burns to his right leg and foot while working at a local DuPont plant.
Jones is suing Dupont North America, Inc. for negligently "failing to adequately warn him of the condition."
Jones is suing for past and future medical expenses, physical pain, mental anguish and impairment.

While checking out at a Port Arthur Wal-Mart, Charlotte Green slipped and fell in a puddle of water. She claims she was injured and has filed suit against the mega center.

When he was alive, William Holmes sued and received a settlement for an asbestos-related disease. Now deceased, Holmes' benefactor is suing on his behalf for a different asbestos-related disease.

Unidentified local parents are claiming their minor child was assaulted by another minor child and are suing the assaulting child's parent. The suit identifies the plaintiffs as R.T. and K.T. and the defendant as L.D. The plaintiffs are seeking all damages allowable under Texas Law.
