Applied Standards Inspection Inc. has filed suit against R&R Marine Inc. in hopes of collecting nearly $59,000 on a past due account.

The suit was filed Oct. 10 in Jefferson County District Court.

ASI alleges R&R owes it $58,935.50 for services rendered. The suit does not give details as to the nature of the services.

"The breach of contract by defendant has made it necessary for plaintiff to retain the services of undersigned attorneys' of record. As such, plaintiff also sues for the recovery of all reasonable and necessary attorneys' fees … in the amount of $5,000 and accrued interest in the amount of $5,893.55 for a total recovery of $69,829.05."
