Patron sues Logan's after being hit by table

While enjoying her meal at Logan's Roadhouse on Dowlen Road, Irene Palmer says a waiter hit her in the back with a heavy table.

Claiming she was injured as a result of the waiter's alleged negligence, Palmer filed suit against the restaurant Oct. 16 in Jefferson County District Court.

Court papers show that Palmer visited the establishment on Dec. 23, 2007.

"At that time plaintiff was injured when a … employee of the defendant hit her in the back with a heavy table that the employee was attempting to move in the dining area of the restaurant."

The suit continues by asserting the employee is negligent for not being mindful of Logan's patrons and that the restaurant is negligent for failing to supervise the employee.

Palmer is suing for past and future medical expenses, pain, mental anguish and impairment, plus all court costs.

She is represented by attorney William Morian Jr. of the Morian and Kahla law firm.

The case has been assigned to Judge Gary Sanderson of the 60th Judicial District.
