Nov. 4

Flora Butler et al vs. Gerardo and Kathryn Cuellar

On Nov. 26, 2006, Butler and her minor child were traveling on Washington Blvd. when Gerado, driving a vehicle owned by Kathryn, allegedly failed to control his speed and slammed into the plaintiff's vehicle.

The plaintiffs allege the defendant negligently failed to keep a proper lookout and is suing for past and future medical expenses, mental anguish and impairment, plus actual damages and attorneys' fees.

Nov. 5

Alloy Products Corp. vs. Golden Triangle Pipe and Water Supplies Inc.

Alleging the defendant owes the company $310,873.93 in unpaid invoices, the plaintiff has filed suit. The plaintiff alleges throughout April and September 2008, the defendant purchased numerous pipe related products.

Alleging the defendant breached its contract, the plaintiff is suing for actual and consequential damages.

Charles Roberts vs. Triangle Waste Solutions and Ricky Buchanan

On March 26, the plaintiff was sitting in a pickup truck when the vehicle was struck by TWS employee Buchanan, while he was in the course and scope of his employment.

The plaintiff alleges the defendant negligently failed to keep a proper lookout and is suing for past and future medical expenses, mental anguish and impairment, plus actual damages and attorneys' fees.

Mary Varnado vs. Christus Health Southeast Texas and Dubuis Hospital

Representing the estate of her husband, Randolph Varnado Jr., the plaintiff has filed a suit against the hospitals alleging between June 27, 2007, and Aug. 4, 2007, her husband received subpar medical treatment. The plaintiff's husband was repeatedly transferred back and forth from the two hospitals.

The husband died on Aug. 4, 2007. The suit does not state how he died or how the hospitals are responsible for his death. However, medical documents state the hospitals should have caught a fracture in the plaintiff's arm earlier than they did.

The plaintiff is suing for survival damages and her husband's mental anguish and pain.

Nov. 6

Shawn Landry vs. Team Industrial Services Inc. and Philip Christopher Gilmore

On Oct. 15, 2007, Gilmore, while in the employment of TIS, allegedly failed to control his rate of speed while driving on Interstate 10 and struck a vehicle in which the plaintiff was a passenger.

The plaintiff alleges the defendant negligently failed to keep a proper lookout and is suing for past and future medical expenses, mental anguish and impairment, plus actual damages and attorneys' fees.

Robin and James Schaff vs. Marriott Hotel

On Jan. 18 the plaintiffs were staying at the Beaumont Marriott when Robin Schaff slipped and fell in the bathtub. She alleges the bathtub was a "hazardous condition" and is suing for past and future medical expenses, mental anguish and impairment, plus attorneys' fees.

James and Catherine Shoemaker vs. Tony Bleuel

The plaintiffs hired the defendant to perform roof work on their Beaumont home back in August 2005. The plaintiffs allege the work was not done in a good and workmanlike manner.

They are suing for actual and consequential damages.

Nov. 7

Marsha and Stephens Havard vs. Shirley Ogunbanjo

On March 14, 2007, the defendant ran her vehicle into the exterior wall of the plaintiffs' apartment home and winded up stopping four feet into the bedroom, striking the plaintiffs' bed while Marsha slept.

Marsha claims to suffer from post traumatic stress disorder now, as well as physical injuries.

The plaintiffs allege the defendant negligently failed to keep a proper lookout and is suing for past and future medical expenses, mental anguish and impairment, plus actual damages and attorneys' fees.

Eva Brown et al vs. Kathryn Jacko

Individually and on behalf of her minor daughter, Brown is suing the defendant for failing to yield the right-of-way and causing an auto collision on Sept. 10, 2007.

The plaintiffs allege the defendant negligently failed to keep a proper lookout, and are suing for past and future medical expenses, mental anguish and impairment, plus actual damages and attorneys' fees.

Glen LeBlanc vs. David Self Ford and William Deitz

On Dec. 29, 2007, the plaintiff was driving southbound on the Eastex Freeway when he was rear-ended by Deitz, who was under the employment of the David Self Ford dealership.

The plaintiff alleges the defendant negligently failed to keep a proper lookout and is suing for past and future medical expenses, mental anguish and impairment, plus actual damages and attorneys' fees.

Candie Rutledge vs. JBT Electrical and Clifton Thurman

On Dec. 21, 2006, the plaintiff was traveling north on Highway 69 when she was rear-ended by Thurman, who was under the employment of JBT.

The plaintiff alleges the defendant negligently failed to keep a proper lookout and is suing for past and future medical expenses, mental anguish and impairment, plus actual damages and attorneys' fees.

Pamela Burchfield vs. Tiffanie Wise

On April 28 the plaintiff was stopped in congested traffic at Pearl Street when she was rear-ended by the defendant.

The plaintiff alleges the defendant negligently failed to keep a proper lookout and is suing for past and future medical expenses, mental anguish and impairment, plus actual damages and attorneys' fees.
