  • Ruthie Anderson vs. Texas Windstorm Insurance Association et al

    PA – Steve Mostyn, J – Donald Floyd

    The plaintiff is suing the insurance company and at least one of its claims adjusters for allegedly refusing to pay at least a portion of her Hurricane Ike claim.

    The plaintiff claims the defendants breached their contract and are guilty of several insurance code violations.

  • Helen Kavanaugh vs. James Pipkins and State Farm

    PA – Richard Lewis, J – Donald Floyd

    On Feb. 11, 2008, the plaintiff was at the corner of FM 365 and Hwy 69 when the defendant rear-ended him.

    The plaintiff alleges the defendant driver negligently failed to keep a proper lookout and is suing for past and future mental anguish, lost wages, medical expenses and impairment.

  • Tiffanie Thibeaux vs. Roger Cude

    PA – Charlton Hornsby, J – Milton Shuffield

    Individually and on behalf of her minor child, the plaintiff is suing the defendant for causing an automobile collision on Feb. 22.

    The defendant was traveling on College when the defendant backed out of a private driveway and struck the plaintiff's vehicle.

    The plaintiff alleges the defendant driver negligently failed to keep a proper lookout and is suing for past and future mental anguish, lost wages, medical expenses and impairment.

    The plaintiff is suing the insurance companies for allegedly refusing to pay at least a portion of his Hurricane Ike claim.

    The plaintiff claims the defendants breached their contract and are guilty of several insurance code violations.

  • Charles Melton vs. Palletized Trucking

    PA – Todd Elias, J – Milton Shuffield

    On Oct. 22, 2008, in Port Arthur, the defendant was uploading one of the defendant's 18 wheelers when the driver of the truck drove off, causing the plaintiff to fall out the back.

    The plaintiff alleges the defendant failed to provide him with a safe workplace and is suing for past and future mental anguish, lost wages, medical expenses and impairment.

    On Oct. 31, 2007, plaintiffs were at a halt in their vehicle at the intersection of Eastex Freeway and Lucas when they were rear-ended by the defendant.

    The plaintiffs allege the defendant driver negligently failed to keep a proper lookout and are suing for past and future mental anguish, lost wages, medical expenses and impairment.

  • Mc-O Construction vs. ISP Elastomers

    PA – Randal Cashiola, J – Milton Shuffield

    In March 2007, the defendant hired the plaintiff for construction at its Texas plant for $450,165.

    Before the job was finished, the plaintiff stopped working and alleging the job was more work than initially thought.

    The plaintiff is suing the defendant to recover money for the work they performed before quitting.

  • Gloria Davis vs. Edmond and Shirley Richards

    On April 12, 2007, the plaintiff allegedly suffered an injury when she fell through the defendant's porch at their Beaumont residence.

    The plaintiff alleges the defendants negligently failed to maintain their premises and is suing for past and future mental anguish, lost wages, medical expenses and impairment.

  • Weston Winn and Ida Weldon vs. Thu and Hong Ngo

    PA – Jonathan Juhan, J – Bob Wortham

    On April 5, 2007, the plaintiffs were stopped at the intersection of 9th and 32nd in Port Arthur when the female defendant, driving the Hong's vehicle, allegedly failed to yield the right-of-way while making a left turn and slammed into the plaintiffs.

    The plaintiffs allege the defendant driver negligently failed to keep a proper lookout and are suing for past and future mental anguish, lost wages, medical expenses and impairment.

    On April 17, 2007, the plaintiff was traveling on FM 365 and was stopped at a red light when the defendant rear-ended his vehicle.

    The plaintiff alleges the defendant driver negligently failed to keep a proper lookout and is suing for past and future mental anguish, lost wages, medical expenses and impairment.
