A total of 13 suits were filed regarding hurricane claims against insurance companies in Jefferson County District Court during the week of March 16-March 20, 2009.

Cassie Cole of 1140 Madison St. in Beaumont alleges Capitol County Mutual Fire Insurance Company denied her claim for damages to her home after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13.
