New hurricane-related insurance lawsuits filed in Jefferson County

A total of 13 suits against insurance companies regarding Hurricane Ike damage claims were filed in Jefferson County District Court during the week of March 23 - March 27, 2009.

The following claims were filed:

  • Chad and Susan Richard of 2312 Ave. A in Nederland allege National Lloyds Insurance Company denied their claim for damages caused to their home when Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13. Jefferson County District Court case number: A183-608.

  • Willie Davis Jr. of 520 East 19th St. in Port Arthur alleges Farmers Insurance Group denied his claim for damages caused when Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13. Davis is represented by E. Hart Green of Weller, Green, Toups and Terrell in Beaumont. Jefferson County District Court case number: E183-609.

  • Cloddie Davis of 2265 Wilson in Beaumont alleges Capitol County Mutual Fire Insurance Company denied her claim for damages caused to her home while Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13. Capitol denied the claim after assigning ICA Adjusters and adjusters Charles Bigler and Dawn Mulkey to investigate. Davis is represented by Michael R. Ramsey and Gregory F.   • John R. and Deborah Bryant of 1715 Hebert Woods Drive in Port Neches allege Texas Windstorm Insurance Association denied their claim for roof, water, wind and structural damages caused to their home while Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13. TWIA denied the claim after its vice president of claims Reggie Warren assigned USAA Central Region and adjusters William Scanlon, Gloria Ralston and Timothy Decker to investigate.   • Consetta Wells of 1399 Pipkin St. in Beaumont alleges Texas Windstorm Insurance Association denied her claim for roof, water, wind and structural damages caused to her home while Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13. TWIA denied the claim after its vice president of claims Reggie Warren assigned Mason Catastrophe Claim Services and adjuster Luis Torres to investigate. Wells is represented by Michael R.   • Stanley and Alice Guillory of 2150 Tulane in Beaumont allege Capitol County Mutual Fire Insurance Company denied their claim for roof, water, wind, foundation, contents and structural damages caused to their home while Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13. Capitol denied their claim after assigning ICA Adjusters and adjusters Cale Watts and Brian Wombacher to investigate. The Guillorys are represented by Michael R. Ramesy and Gregory F.
