Orange County woman sues Louisiana casino over trip in parking lot

Playing her hand at jackpot justice, Angela Thibodeaux is suing the Delta Downs casino, claiming "uneven cement" caused her to trip while traversing the parking lot.

Although the casino is located in Louisiania, Thibodeaux filed her suit in Orange County District Court, claiming Delta Downs had knowledge of the "dangerous" crack which caused her injury.

According to her suit, on Feb. 19 Thibodeaux was exiting the casino "when she tripped and fell on uneven cement in the parking lot."

"There were no signs or barriers warning of the hazardous cement," the suit states. "Plaintiff was severely injured."

The suit does not describe her injuries.

Thibodeaux is suing for past and future mental anguish, medical expenses and lost wages.

She is represented by attorney John Morgan of the Harris, Duesler & Hatefield law firm.

The case has been assigned to Judge Pat Clark, 128th Judicial District.

Case No. A-090345-c
