Woman sues driver in local court over auto wreck in Louisiana

A woman has filed suit against the driver she blames for causing her injuries in a collision.

Michelle Mann claims she was riding in a vehicle Heather Erwin was driving on Fifth Street in Leesville, La., on Sept. 13, 2008, when defendant Jerome L. Wells turned in front of Erwin's vehicle and collided with it.

Because of the collision, Mann suffered headaches and pain and injury to her neck, left shoulder, left arm and back and incurred medical costs, according to the complaint filed Sept. 8 in Jefferson County District Court.

In addition, Mann lost earnings and suffered physical impairment, physical pain and mental anguish, the suit states.

Mann is seeking an unspecified judgment, plus pre-judgment interest, costs and other relief to which she may be entitled.

She will be represented by Jonathan C. Juhan of Beaumont.

The case has been assigned to Judge Donald Floyd, 172nd District Court.
