Two new lawsuits against insurance companies regarding hurricane damage claims were filed in Jefferson County District Court, Nov. 16-20, 2009.
The following complaints were filed:
Joe and Laurie Greenwood of 13380 Blackgum Ave. in Beaumont allege Fire Insurance Exchange and Adam Nicholas Weiss denied their claim for damages caused to their property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008. The Greenwoods will be represented by Dax O. Faubus and Ian R. Beliveaux of Faubus and Scarborough in Houston. Jefferson County District Court case number: E185-346.
Gwen Mouton of 560 Pleasure Island Blvd. in Port Arthur alleges State Farm Lloyds denied her claim for damages caused to her property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008. Lance P. Bradley and Gordon D. Friesz of McPherson, Hughes, Bradley, Wimberley, Steele and Chatelain in Port Arthur will be representing him. Jefferson County District Court case number: A185-342.
