Lamar University Homecoming 2011 will celebrate ties that bind campus and community as students, alumni, government leaders, businesses and individuals don Cardinal colors during the week of Oct. 17-22.
Festivities kicked off with a "Get Your Red On" Celebration Monday, Oct. 17, at Bistro Le Monde in Beaumont.
A Lamar delegation visited Beaumont City Council on Tuesday, Oct. 18, to promote "Get Your Red On" and Homecoming and receive a proclamation.
Homecoming highlights include an all-alumni tailgate party and reunions of alumni who were cheerleaders and Homecoming queens.
