A total of four new lawsuits against insurance companies over hurricane damage claims were filed in Jefferson County District Court, Feb. 8-12, 2010.
The following complaints were filed:
Oscar and Debbie Red of 1670 Washington Blvd. in Beaumont allege Capitol County Mutual Fire Insurance Company denied their claim for roof, water, wind, contents, structural and foundation damages caused after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008. Capitol denied the claim after it assigned ICA Adjusters and adjuster Matthew Tuttle to investigate, according to the complaint. The Reds will be represented by Gregory F. Gary Reeves of 155 Bailey Ave. in Bridge City alleges State Farm Lloyds denied his claim for damages caused to his property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008. Reeves will be represented by Clint Brasher and Joe Muckleroy of Beaumont. Jefferson County District Court case number: E185-892.
Dr. Fred Waddell and Mary Lu Waddell of 3235 Timberwood Lane in Beaumont allege Horace Mann Lloyds denied their claim for roof, water, wind and structural damages caused to their property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008. Horace Mann denied the claims after it assigned Carlos Sylvester to investigate, according to the complaint. The Waddells will be represented by Gregory F. Cox of The Mostyn Law Firm in Beaumont. Shirley Milstead White of 1468 Pipkin St. in Beaumont alleges Capitol County Mutual Fire Insurance Company denied her claim for damages caused to her property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008.
