Real estate agent sues over unpaid commission

A Jefferson County woman filed suit against a Beaumont business and its owners for failing to give her an agreed-upon 10 percent in real estate commissions after selling property.

Jeanie Turk claims she entered into a contract with Pinewood Joint Venture, William E. Wilson Jr. and Doak C. Procter III to obtain a 10 percent real estate commission on all sales of Pinewood property.

However, the defendants breached the contract and failed to pay Turk the money, according to the complaint filed March 1 in Jefferson County District Court.

In her complaint, Turk is seeking an unspecified judgment, plus interest at the legal rate, costs, attorneys' fees, costs and other relief the court deems just.

She will be represented by John S. Morgan of Harris, Duesler and Hatfield in Beaumont.

The case has been assigned to Judge Donald Floyd, 172nd District Court.
Jefferson County District Court case number: E186-142.
