Woman sues over rear-end collision in Orange

Amanda Jones is suing Randy Myers, a Louisiana resident, for rear-ending her earlier this year.

The suit was filed March 11 in Orange County District Court.

Court papers show that on Jan. 13 Jones was stopped on State Highway 12 in Mauriceville and waiting to make a left turn onto Woodridge Drive when Myers "failed to control his speed and struck the rear of plaintiff's vehicle and ultimately caused damages and injuries."

Jones alleges Myers negligently failed to keep a proper lookout and drive his vehicle in a safe manner.

She is suing the company for past and future medical expenses, mental anguish and lost wages.

Jones is represented by Justin Anderson, attorney for the Snider & Byrd law firm.

The case has been assigned to Judge Dennis Powell, 163rd Judicial District.
