Woman sues over Port Arthur crash

A Jefferson County woman claims she sustained injuries in an accident at a Port Arthur intersection.

Shiran Clark filed a lawsuit April 15 in Jefferson County District Court against Carby Dwayne Rose.

Clark claims she drove at the intersection of Houston Avenue and State Highway 87 in Port Arthur on Sept. 19, 2009, when Rose collided with her.

Because of the collision, Clark incurred medical costs, lost wages, experienced physical pain and mental anguish and experienced physical impairment, according to the complaint.

In her complaint, Clark seeks a judgment within the jurisdictional limits of Jefferson County District Court, plus pre- and post-judgment interest, costs and other relief to which she may be entitled.

John A. Carwile of the Law Offices of John A. Carwile in Houston will be representing her.

The case hass been assigned to Judge Gary Sanderson, 60th District Court.
