A Jefferson County corporation claims it lost $250,000 after a Bridge City man failed to make good on his promise to sell half of his interest in a rig service company.
AAA Flood Masters filed a lawsuit May 7 in Jefferson County District Court against Mike Allison.
AAA Flood Masters claims it paid Allison $250,000 on Jan. 16, 2008. In return, Allison promised to purchase a company known as Donovan Rig Services and to sell half of the interest in the company to AAA Flood Masters, according to the complaint.
"The parties were then to be equal owners in a new or renamed entity known as Allison Rig Services," the suit states.
However, Allison has since used the money for his own benefit and has not fulfilled any of his promises with AAA Flood Masters, the complaint says.
In its complaint AAA Flood Masters seeks actual damages, plus attorney's fees, pre- and post-judgment interest, costs and other relief to which it may be entitled.
Richard G. Lewis of Doneau and Lewis in Port Arthur will be representing it.
The case has been assigned to Judge Gary Sanderson, 60th District Court.
