Latest Hurricane-Ike related insurance suits filed in Jefferson County

A total of nine new awsuits against insurance companies over Hurricane Ike damage claims were filed in Jefferson County District Court, July 12-July 16, 2010.

The following complaints were filed:

  • Millie Albert of 3245 Ninth St. in Port Arthur alleges Fire Insurance Exchange denied her claim for contents, roof, structural, water and wind damages caused to her property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008. Albert will be represented by J. Steve Mostyn and Stacy L. Little of The Mostyn Law Firm in Houston. Jefferson County District Court case number: D187-290.

  • Jesus and San Juanita Gutierrez of 1975 Bun St. in Beaumont allege Fire Insurance Exchange denied their claim for structural, roof, water and wind damages caused to their property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008. The Gutierrezes will be represented by J. Steve Mostyn of The Mostyn Law Firm in Houston. Jefferson County District Court case number: E187-262.

  • Zeferino and Guillermina Luna of 2218 Evalon St. in Beaumont allege Texas Windstorm Insurance Association denied their claim for roof, wind, water, foundation and structural damages caused to their property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008. The Lunas will be represented by Michael R. Ramsey of The Mostyn Law Firm in Beaumont. Jefferson County District Court: B187-296.

  • Aimee Celeste Macha of 1988 Hillebrandt Acres in Beaumont alleges Texas Windstorm Insurance Association denied her claim for damages caused to her property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008. Macha will be represented by Jason B. Speights and Todd Worrich of Speights Law Firm in San Antonio. Jefferson County District Court case number: A187-261.

  • Donald and Virginia Nauls of 5660 RoadRunner St. in Beaumont allege Texas Farmers Insurance Company denied their claim for contents, foundation, structural, roof, water and wind damages caused to their property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008. The Nauls will be represented by J. Steve Mostyn of The Mostyn Law Firm in Houston. Jefferson County District Court case number: D187-240.

  • Robert and Iketha Saunders of 11787 Highway 90 in Beaumont allege Texas Windstorm Insurance Exchange denied their claim for roof, wind, water, structural and contents damages caused to their property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008. The Saunders will be represented by Gregory F. Cox of The Mostyn Law Firm in Beaumont. Jefferson County District Court case number: E187-286.

  • Danny and Chandra Smith of 3915 Platt Ave. in Port Arthur allege Fire Insurance Exchange denied their claim for roof, structural, water, wind and contents damages caused to their home after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008.   • Jerry and Jo Walker of 4850 Beck Road in Beaumont allege Texas Windstorm Insurance Association denied their claim for roof, wind, water and structural damages caused to their property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008.   • Kevin and Linda Wallace of 4260 Pershing St. in Beaumont allege Fire Insurance Exchange denied their claim for roof, structural, water, wind and contents damages caused to their property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008.
