Man sued for allegedly stealing, wrecking Nissan

GALVESTON - Two Galveston County residents are suing a Houston man after he allegedly stole and wrecked their vehicle, recent court documents say.

Maretta and Electra Long seek $22,751.51 in personal property damages from Tracey Swann Jr., who the plaintiffs claim drove away with their 2007 Nissan Murano without their permission on Nov. 22, 2008.

The suit was filed July 26 in Galveston County Court No. 3.

Although the original petition does not elaborate on the exact circumstances which led to the accident in question, it argues that Swann was intoxicated.

Start Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Co. has filed the suit on behalf of the plaintiffs.

The Garner Law Firm is representing the Longs.

Galveston County Court No. 3 Judge Roy Quintanilla is presiding over the case.

Cause No. 63,377
