Nederland resident Deborah Kelley has filed suit against Orange resident Ollie Williams, claiming he failed to yield the right of way at an intersection.
The suit was filed Aug. 13 in Orange County District Court.
In her suit, Kelley says that on Oct. 7, 2008, she was traveling south on 16th Street in Orange. As she crossed the Barkins intersection, Williams allegedly failed to the yield the right of way, causing the two vehicles to collide.
Kelley further alleges Williams negligently failed to keep a proper lookout.
She is suing for past and future mental anguish, medical expenses and lost wages, plus all court costs.
Beaumont attorney Trent Devenzio is representing her.
The case has been assigned to Judge Pat Clark, 128th Judicial District.
