China resident Michael Kibodeaux has filed suit against Musarat Chudray alleging he ran a red light and crashed into his vehicle.

The suit was filed Oct. 20 in Jefferson County District Court.

According to the suit, on Sept. 20 Kibodeaux was driving a 2005 Ford Expedition when Chudray ran a red light and struck him with his 2007 Toyota van.

The suit does not state where the incident occurred.

Kibodeaux alleges Chudray failed to obey traffic laws and keep a proper lookout, court papers say.

He is suing for his past and future mental anguish, medical expenses, pain and impairment.

The plaintiff is represented by Beaumont attorney Anthony Malley III of the Moore Landrey law firm.

Judge Milton Shuffield, 136th District Court, has been assigned to the case.

Case No. D188-635
