A total of five new lawsuits against insurance companies over Hurricane Ike damage claims have been filed in Jefferson County District Court, Nov. 1-5, 2010.
The following complaints have been filed:
James Lonnie Atkinson, Tana S. Atkinson and Billy Ray Atkinson of 2910 58th St. in Port Arthur allege Fire Insurance Exchange denied their claim for contents, foundation, structure, roof, water and wind damages caused to their property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008. The Atkinsons will be represented by J. Steve Mostyn of The Mostyn Law Firm in Houston. Jefferson County District Court case number: B188-715.
Joseph and Margaret Lofton of 5675 Theresa St. in Beaumont allege State Farm Lloyds denied their claim for roof, wind, water and structural damages caused to their property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 208. The Loftons will be represented by J. Steve Mostyn of The Mostyn Law Firm in Houston. Jefferson County District Court case number: D188-722.
Ora Moses of 3925 Concord Road in Beaumont alleges State Farm Lloyds denied her claim for damages caused to her property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008. Mosees will be represented by Rocky Lawdermilk of Beaumont. Jefferson County District Court case number: A188-725.
Sybil Sherrell of 5390 Swallow Drive in Beaumont alleges Texas Windstorm Insurance Association denied her claim for damages caused to her property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008. Sherrell will be represented by Rocky Lawdermilk of Beaumont. Jefferson County District Court case number: E188-724.
Jose Torres of 4630 Sixth St. in Port Arthur alleges National Security Fire and Casualty Company denied his claim for damages caused to his property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008. National Security denied Torres' claim after it assigned IAS Claim Services to investigate, according to the complaint. Torres will be represented by Rocky Lawdermilk of Beaumont.
