Citibank has filed suit against Beaumont resident Deborah Dommert, claiming the woman has defaulted on her credit card account.
The suit was filed Feb. 28 in Jefferson County District Court.
Court records show that Dommert stopped making payments on her account. On Oct. 28 Citibank sent a letter demanding payment, but despite the demand no payment has been made.
"As of Feb. 3 there continues to be owed by defendant to the plaintiff an unpaid balance of $14,542.36," the suit states. "Interest continues to accrue to the account."
Citibank seeks to recover the balance of the account, interest and court costs.
Carrollton attorney Michael Scott represents it.
Judge Gary Sanderson, 6oth District Court, has been assigned to the case.
