GALVESTON � Galveston resident Susana Flores-Cobos accuses Allstate Indemnity Co. of attempting to underpay her accident claim, recent court documents say.
Flores-Cobos was involved in two-vehicle collision four years ago in Crystal Beach, and the suit against her insurer was filed Feb. 17 in Galveston County District Court.
The plaintiff blames Donna R. Thomas, the other motorist, for inattention, failing to drive in a single lane and breaking the speed limit along Highway 87.
She subsequently filed an uninsured/underinsurance motorist coverage claim, which Allstate reportedly refused to pay.
According to the suit, Flores-Cobos experience physical pain and suffering, mental anguish and lost wages because of the alleged accident.
She seeks more than $75,000 in monetary damages and a jury trial.
Jim S. Adler & Associates is representing the plaintiff, and Galveston County 10th District Court Judge David Garner is presiding over the case.
