Beaumont local John Broussard Jr. is suing Orangefield resident Doyle Ramsey Jr. for allegedly causing an automobile collision two years ago.
The suit was filed April 6 in Jefferson County District Court.
Court records show that on April 27, 2009, Broussard was traveling on S.H. 69 when Ramsey "failed to make a safe lane change and entered his lane of traffic, slamming into his vehicle."
In his suit, Broussard alleges Ramsey negligently failed to keep a proper lookout and failed to drive in a single lane.
The plaintiff is suing for his alleged past and future medical expenses, mental anguish, pain, impairment, disfigurement and lost wages, plus all court costs.
Beaumont attorney Jonathan Juhan represents him.
Judge Gary Sanderson, 6oth District Court, has been assigned to the case.
