A Beaumont man claims a driver struck him head on, causing him to sustain serious neck and back injuries.
Mark Loveall filed a lawsuit May 12 in Jefferson County District Court against Nancy Dodson, administrator of the estate of Ray Lee Dodson.
Loveall claims he drove on FM 365 in Port Arthur on May 27, 2009, when Ray Lee Dodson entered his lane and struck him, causing a head-on collision.
In addition to his neck and back injuries, Loveall incurred medical costs, lost earnings and his earning capacity and experienced physical impairment, physical pain, mental anguish and disfigurement, according to the complaint.
Loveall blames Ray Dodson for causing the collision, saying he negligently failed to maintain control of his vehicle, failed to keep a proper lookout and failed to drive within a single lane.
In his complaint, Loveall seeks an unspecified judgment, plus interest, costs and other relief the court deems just.
