Market Basket sued for oven explosion injuries

Dana Falcon, a Market Basket employee who was injured when an oven exploded, is seeking injunctive relief against the company.

Falcon filed the application for injunctive relief against TSTL Investments, doing business as Market Basket No. 2, on June 21 in Jefferson County District Court.

Court records show that on June 5 Falcon was injured while working for the store when a commercial oven exploded.

She is asking the court to grant a temporary injunction to stop the store from destroying possible evidence and to allow photographers to inspect the incident scene.

"If plaintiff's application is not granted, harm is imminent because of the cause of plaintiff's damages and the parties responsible will be destroyed," the suit states.

Falcon is also seeking any documents related to the incident, the suit states.

Judge Bob Wortham, 58th District Court, has been assigned to the case.
