Hotel maintenance supervisor sues for overtime wages

TEXARKANA - After three months of employment, a hotel maintenance supervisor is suing his former employer for failing to pay overtime wages.

Larry Rush filed suit against The William and Roxann Davis Co., doing business as Clarion Hotel Lacrosse; William E. Davis, individually; and Roxann K. Davis, individually; on June 15 in the Eastern District of Texas, Texarkana Division.

Rush was employed by the defendant as a salaried maintenance supervisor from March to June 2010. He states his job involved hotel maintenance activities such as plumbing, electrical and pool maintenance.

According to the lawsuit, Rush regularly worked in excess of 40 hours a week but was not paid overtime pay.

The defendant is accused of failing to pay wages in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act.

The plaintiff is seeking damages for unpaid back wages, liquidated damages equal to the amount in unpaid compensation, court costs, attorney's fees and interest.

Rush is represented by Robert Bobby Lee and Carmen Artaza of Lee & Braziel in Dallas.

A jury trial is requested.

U.S. District Judge David Folsom is assigned to the case.
