Vidor resident Henry Randall has filed suit against Beaumont local Britney Harris, alleging she rear-ended him while he slowed for traffic.
The suit was filed July 18 in Jefferson County District Court.
According to the lawsuit, on Aug. 21, 2009, Randall was traveling on Cardinal Drive and had slowed for traffic when Harris "failed to control her speed and slammed into the rear of plaintiff's vehicle."
The suit further alleges Harris negligently failed to maintain a proper lookout and apply her brakes in a timely manner.
The plaintiff is suing for his alleged past and future medical expenses, mental anguish, pain, impairment, disfigurement and lost wages, plus all court costs.
Beaumont attorney Jonathan Juhan represents him.
Judge Milton Shuffield, 136th District Court, has been assigned to the case.
