Man sued for rear-ending vehicle

China resident Randi Claus is suing Miguel Hipolito, a Verdi County resident, for rear-ending his vehicle and injuring him.

The suit was filed July 25 in Jefferson County District Court.

According to the lawsuit, on March 9 Claus was stopped for traffic on Concord Road when Hipolito rear-ended him.

The suit accuses Hipolito of negligently failing to control his speed and maintain a proper lookout.

The plaintiff is suing for his alleged past and future medical expenses, mental anguish, pain, impairment, disfigurement and lost wages, plus all court costs.

Beaumont attorney Anthony Malley of Moore Landrey represents him.

Judge Gary Sanderson, 6oth District Court, has been assigned to the case.
