Injured worker to file suit against ExxonMobil

A man has filed a petition to perpetuate the testimony of Exxon Mobil Corp. after he says he suffered a severe right arm injury while working at the company's premises.

Brandon Fox claims he was working at Exxon Mobil in Beaumont on May 1 when his equipment malfunctioned, causing him to sustain a severe right arm injury.

According to the petition filed July 22 in Jefferson County District Court, Fox plans to file suit in the near future and believes Exxon Mobil may have knowledge of a number of entities that may be listed as defendants in the complaint.

Fox wants the court to allow examination by deposition or written questions of Exxon Mobil regarding the incident and the equipment being used at the job site.

Fox will be represented by James E. Payne and Ronnie Turner Jr. of Provost Umphrey Law Firm in Beaumont.

The case has been assigned to Judge Gary Sanderson, 60th District Court.

Case No B190-550
