China woman sues over collision

China resident Elizabeth Hall is suing Beaumont local William Kinnear for allegedly causing an automobile collision last November.

According to the lawsuit, filed Aug. 18 in Jefferson County District Court, the collision occurred on Nov. 5, 2010, while Hall was traveling on Old Dowlen Road.

The suit does not state how the incident occurred, only that Kinnear negligently caused the collision by failing to keep a proper lookout and failing to keep a safe distance between vehicles.

The plaintiff is suing for her alleged past and future medical expenses, mental anguish, pain, impairment, disfigurement and lost wages, plus all court costs.

Beaumont attorney Brian Sutton of Sutton & Jacobs represents her.

Judge Bob Wortham, 58th District Court, has been assigned to the case.
