A total of three new lawsuits against insurance companies over Hurricane Ike damage claims were filed in Jefferson County District Court, Sept. 26-30, 2011.
The following complaints were filed:
Joseph C. and Shirley Isles of 1227 West Fifth St. in Port Arthur allege Texas Windstorm Insurance Association denied a portion of their claim for roof and water damages caused to their property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008. The Isles will be represented by Carlos E. Solis and Paul A. Smith Jr. of Solis and Smith in San Antonio. Jefferson County District Court case number: E191-041.
Joseph Newcost Jr. and Thelma Newcost of 1319 W. Procter St. in Port Arthur allege Texas Windstorm Insurance Association denied a portion of their claim for roof and water damages caused to their residences after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008. The Newcosts are represented by Carlos E. Solis and Paul A. Smith Jr. of Solis and Smith in San Antonio. Jefferson County District Court case number: A191-040.
Betty J. Washington of 1700 East 17th St. in Port Arthur alleges Texas Windstorm Insurance Association denied a portion of her claim for roof and water damages caused to her property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008. Washington will be represented by Carlos E. Solis and Paul A. Smith Jr. of Solis and Smith in San Antonio. Jefferson County District Court case number: D191-039.
