A Lumberton man claims he sustained neck, shoulder, chest, hip and stomach injuries after a driver rear-ended his vehicle.
Glen McKenzie filed a lawsuit Sept. 19 in Jefferson County District Court against Angela Cluck.
In his complaint, McKenzie alleges he was driving on Eastex Freeway on Oct. 22, 2009, when Cluck, who was driving in the same direction, failed to control her speed and ran into the back of his car.
In addition to his injuries, McKenzie incurred medical costs, lost his earnings and his earning capacity and experienced physical pain and mental anguish, according to the complaint.
He blames Cluck for causing the collision, saying she negligently failed to keep a proper lookout, failed to timely apply her brakes and failed to control her speed.
In his complaint, McKenzie seeks an unspecified judgment, plus judgment, costs and other relief the court deems just.
Jonathan C. Juhan and J.J. Bragg of Beaumont will be representing him.
Judge Donald Floyd, 172nd District Court, has been assigned to the case.
