Passenger sues driver for causing collision with tow truck

Beaumont local Krista Palmour is suing Saginaw resident William Ripple for causing a collision while she was a passenger in his vehicle.

The suit was filed Oct. 12 in Jefferson County District Court.

According to the lawsuit, on Dec. 4, 2009, Palmour was a passenger in Ripple's vehicle when he slammed into the rear of a tow truck that was at the scene of an accident.

The suit does not state where the incident occurred.

However, the suit does alleges the defendant negligently failed to keep a proper lookout, apply his brakes in a timely manner and failed to control his rate of speed.

The plaintiff is suing for her alleged past and future medical expenses, mental anguish, pain, impairment, disfigurement and lost wages, plus all court costs.

Beaumont attorney Jonathan Juhan represents her.

Judge Bob Wortham, 58th District Court, is assigned to the case.
