Needville resident Jamie Wilton is suing Total Petrochemicals for a head injury he received nearly two years ago.
The suit was filed Oct. 31 in Jefferson County District Court.
According to the lawsuit, on Dec. 8, 2009, Wilton, a Comear Industries employee, was working at Total's Port Arthur premises. He was loading sulfur when an unsecure plug being operated by a Total employee struck him in the head.
The suit alleges Total negligently failed to properly train and supervise its employees.
The plaintiff is suing for his alleged past and future medical expenses, mental anguish, pain, impairment, disfigurement and lost wages, plus all court costs.
Houston attorney Nomaan Husain of Young & Husain represents him.
Judge Bob Wortham, 58th District Court, is assigned to the case.
