Area resident Jesus Ceja is suing Groves resident Drew Pierce for causing an automobile collision last December.
The suit was filed Nov. 4 in Jefferson County District Court.
According to the lawsuit, on Dec. 16, 2010, Ceja was driving a vehicle near the 3100 block of State Highway 73 in Port Arthur when Pierce negligently caused an automobile collision.
The suit does not state how the collision occurred, nor does the suit list any specific acts of alleged negligence.
The plaintiff is suing for his alleged past and future medical expenses, mental anguish, pain, impairment, disfigurement and lost wages, plus all court costs.
Houston attorney John Carwile represents him.
Judge Bob Wortham, 58th District Court, is assigned to the case.
